WAtershed shoots up the charts

South African band Watershed's single 'Letters' has risen to the top of the country's charts

 

Watershed has once again proven its status as one of South Africa’s top bands according to recent airplay statistics.  Their current single Letters [taken from the album Mosiac] has risen to the top of the charts across the country.  A new video, showing a Watershed retrospective, has been released for television play to celebrate this achievement.  Look out for Watershed at the SAMA’s (South African Music Awards) as the band has two nominations including Best Pop Album.

Mosaic is Watershed’s third album, released in October 2006.  The platinum selling “In The Meantime” was released in April 2000 and spawned the huge hits Indigo Girl, Shine On Me and Yesterday Again.  The SAMA Award winning “Wrapped In Stone” was released in April 2003 and includes the hits Lovely Day, Light of The Moon and Closing Down.  Indigo Girl has quickly become the band’s signature tune.  In addition to the huge success here at home, the song reached #2 in Germany and the top 10 in 5 European countries in 2001.
